Where Did Carbon Bared’s Mission Begin?
With growing awareness of climate change and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly carbon dioxide, and considering the importance of this issue for the metropolitan area of Tehran, the idea of collecting carbon dioxide from the Tehran refinery and establishing a company with this mission emerged through the initiative and efforts of the private sector.
In line with this goal, Carbon Bared Company was established with the mission of collecting, purifying, and liquefying carbon dioxide from the Tehran refinery, as well as managing the production, export, and sale of industrial and medical gases, officially registered with the Tehran Companies Registration Office.
Carbon Bared Company has been able to overcome its technical challenges despite the presence of unjust sanctions and the lack of technical support from the licensor. By leveraging a team of experts and combining practical experience with up-to-date scientific knowledge in the country, and through close collaboration with the leading industrial universities and knowledge-based companies, the company has successfully resolved production issues and fully acquired the expertise needed to build similar plants. Consequently, the company has achieved process know-how that qualifies for a knowledge-based certification, which is expected to be granted soon.

In addition to creating specialized employment opportunities for university graduates, the company aims to take valuable steps toward strengthening the real-world connection between industry and academia.
Value Chain Development
Carbon Bard Company plans to develop the value chain of its products by producing dry ice on a large scale and making it available to consumers.
Construction of Phase 2 of the Factory
Due to the high quality of Carbon Bard’s products and strong customer demand, the company has initiated the construction of Phase 2 of its factory. Currently, this project has reached 45% completion, and it is expected to be inaugurated in the near future.
With the launch of the second production line, in addition to capturing exhaust gases from the Tehran refinery—which contribute to increased pollution in the metropolitan area—the project will also create additional employment opportunities for fellow citizens within the company.
Product Development and Production of Other Industrial Gases
Following its successful presence in the country’s carbon dioxide market, Carbon Bard Company aims to expand its product range and specialize in the production of other industrial gases, particularly for medical applications. It is hoped that these development projects will soon enter the implementation phase with the support of the relevant authorities.
Establishment of Similar Plants Alongside Other Refineries in the Country
